A mammal biologist from Japan, specializing in the study of rodents and leporids. My affiliation is the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute of Japan (FFPRI). My research topics are conservation of endangered species, such as Okinawa spiny rat Tokudaia muenninki and 2 other spiny rats as well as the Amami rabbit Pentalagus furnessi. I also investigate invasive mammals, such as mongoose Herpestes auropunctatus and feral cats.
